The rapidly growing number of interactive terminals at Sandia National Laboratories must compete for a limited number of computer ports. In addition, interactive computer users require access to several host systems. To meet these needs a terminal switching network was designed which utulizes circuit switching techniques to provide port contention and multiple host access.
