Laser spectroscopy of autoionization resonances in atomic ytterbium

Energy values for four new autoionized resonances of the neutral ytterbium atom are given. Identification of the corresponding electronic configurations was realized on the basis of calculations by the Hartree--Fock--Dirac method. The agreement of the computed values with the experimental results is less than or equal to1.5%.
