Magnetic moments of baryons

QCD and pion corrections to the magnetic moments of baryons are calculated in the chiral bag model. It is shown that the deviations of the predictions of the additive quark model from experiment can be eliminated if allowance is made for the color interaction between the quarks, the pion contribution to the baryon magnetic moments, and the quark anomalous magnetic moments not proportional to the charges and resulting from the photon--gluon interaction via virtual quark loops. The anomalous magnetic moments of the quarks are determined phenomenologically by normalization to the p, n, and ..lambda.. magnetic moments, and other free parameters are not introduced.
