Structure of semi-simple gauge groups for unified weak and electromagnetic interactions

We investigate general structure of the gauge group C underlying the unified weak and electromagnetic interactions. Assuming that G is semi-simple, and that all quarks have only electric charges 2/3 and -1/3, we can prove that G for hadrons is essentially a product of groups SU(3l). Moreover, the underlying representations for the quark multiplets to be used must be completely anti-symmetric ones with respect to the SU(3l) group. Also some restrictions of gauge groups for unified weak, electromagnetic, and strong interactions are discussed.
