Use of microemulsions in miscible-type oil recovery procedure
Patent
·
OSTI ID:6485188
In a method of using microemulsions in miscible-type oil recovery procedure, there is injected into the formation a microemulsion containing at least 10% water as the dispersed phase. This is followed by an injection of water to drive the microemulsion toward production well or wells. The microemulsion can contain an at least partially oil-soluble sulfonate surfactant and up to 20% water as the dispersed phase.
