OSTI ID:6483542
Ryckman Creek Field is a significant discovery, one of a recent series of exploratory successes in the Utah-Wyoming part of the thrust belt. Production at Ryckman Creek is from a thick, porous section of the nuggest sandstone with an indicated reservoir thickness of 515 ft, including 315 ft of gas column and 200 ft of oil column. The accumulation is in an elongate northeast-southwest trending anticlinal structure in the hanging wall of the Absaroka thrust. Active development is presently underway, with 5 wells completed to date, and 2 wells presently drilling. The lateral limits of the field have not yet been delineated.
