Conceptual design of laser fusion reactor, SENRI-I - 2. tritium breeding ratio, neutron streaming to laser beam ports and final mirrors

Conference · · Proc. Symp. Eng. Probl. Fusion Res.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6480825

The purpose of this study is to investigate the neutronics and photonics features of the SENRI-I, especially the effects of laser beam ports on the blanket neutronics and to estimate the fluence of laser beam guide mirrors. Models and data used are briefly described. Flux distribution thermal deposition in the blanket, tritium breeding and the d.p.a. (displacement per atom) are examined and neutronic behavior of final elements are discussed.
