High-constructive, tidally influenced deltaic sedimentation in Arkoma basin: Desmoinesian Hartshorne Sandstone

The probable origin of the Hartshorne Sandstone and associated fine-grained facies of the Arkoma basin located in Arkansas and Oklahoma is described. Understanding the genesis of these delta plain facies reportedly will enhance petroleum and coal exploitation efforts within the Hartshorne of the Arkoma basin.
