Dehydrogenation of cyclohexane on platinum-technetium catalysts

Journal Article · · Dokl. Chem. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:6478166
The model reaction used was the cyclohexane-dehydrogenation process where technetium displayed ample activity. Activity of the catalysts was studied on a pulsed catalytic unit at atmospheric pressure and the analysis of reaction products was carried out by gas chromatography. The condition of the surfaces of the catalysts produced was studied by means of the chemisorption of hydrogen and scattered-rebound spectra were recorded on a spectrophotometer. Characteristics of the catalysts are shown. The degree of cyclohexane conversion with the catalysts and benzene yield vs. the ratio of Pt to Tc for catalysts at 330 C are illustrated.
