Applications of HECTR and MARCON to BWR Mark III and ice-condenser containments

MARCON and HECTR were used to calculate the containment atmosphere pressure and temperature loadings for the CLWG ice condenser standard problem. The calculated peak pressures varied widely due to the variations in the timing of ignition and the amount of zirconium oxidation. The HECTR calculations for the CLWG diffusion flame problem in a Mark III containment were not able to predict detailed results near the flames, but were useful for predicting bulk containment conditions.
