Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Oil and Gas Supply Model. Volume 2. Data description
This document describes the sources of data used by the Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Supply Model (OCSM). The prime objective of this report is to document the sources of data on which the model is based. Thus, the report permits supply forecasts and the results of analyses that rely on the model to be properly evaluated and verified, and it also facilitates updating and revision of the basic data sources. In addition to providing basic documentation of OCSM, however, the report also provides resource, technology, and cost data that are of value in their own right for analysis of many issues concerning the exploitation of offshore petroleum resources. These data have numerous applications that do not depend on use of the total modeling system.
