[sup 3]H([ital p],[gamma])[sup 4]He cross section

The absolute differential cross section for the [sup 3]H([ital p],[gamma])[sup 4]He reaction was measured for 0.1[le][ital E][sub [ital p]][le]6.0 MeV. Gamma rays produced by proton bombardment of Ti-[sup 3]H targets were detected simultaneously with BGO and NaI scintillators positioned at 90[degree] with respect to the incident beam. Our results are higher than the most recently reported ([ital p],[gamma]) data, but in good agreement with all other previous ([ital p],[gamma]) experiments. The present results support the [sup 4]He([gamma],[ital p]) cross sections recommended by Calarco [ital et] [ital al]. in their discussions of the charge asymmetry of the nuclear force in [sup 4]He.
