Title: Results of the radiological survey of State of New York land between 80--110 Yardboro Avenue, Albany, New York (AL151)

A number of properties in the Albany/Colonie area have been identified as being potentially contaminated with uranium originating from the former National Lead Company's uranium forming plant in Colonie, New York. The property between 80--110 Yardboro Avenue, Albany, New York, was the subject of a radiological investigation initiated June 8, 1986. The property consists of a vacant parcel with not structures on a rectangular lot. A concrete slab extends onto the lot from the property to the east. A diagram of the property showing the approximate boundaries and the 20-m grid network established for measurements are shown. The rectangular area included in the radiological survey was /approximately/120 m wide by 34 m deep. Two views of the property are shown. The red brick building partially showing in the background is the former NL Industries Plant. 13 refs., 6 figs., 4 tabs.
