We present measurements of the differential and polarization cross sections for the reactions K/sup 0//sub L/p ..-->.. K/sup 0//sub S/p, ..lambda pi../sup +/, ..sigma../sup 0/..pi../sup +/, and ..lambda pi../sup +/..pi../sup 0/ made in a hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a beam of K/sup 0//sub L/ with incident momentum 550 +- 35 MeV/c. The quasielastic data imposed additional constraints on the partial-wave analyses of the KN and K-barN systems. Our data show no strong energy-dependent effects in the region of the reported ..sigma.. (1580), J/sup P/ = 3/2/sup -/ state. The phase of the forward regeneration amplitude was found to be about - 160/sup 0/ independent of K/sup 0//sub L/ momentum.
