Experimental high energy physics using electromagnetic energy calorimetry: (Progress report)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6464036
Progress is reported on two areas of contribution to the DO project - construction of the central drift chamber and its electronics and test facilities, and development of the central and end cap modules, test beam program, and software development for the calorimetry. Work is also reported in the area of neutrino physics, in which an experiment has measured cross sections for neutral current processes which are used to determine the Weinberg angle, as well as the axial-vector dipole mass of the proton. Limits were also placed on the electromagnetic properties of the muon neutrino, namely its charge radius and magnetic moment. Limits have also been placed on neutrino oscillations and couplings to heavy neutrinos. (LEW)
