This study was conducted to appraise the mineral resources and mineral resource potential of the Canaan Mountain and The Watchman Wilderness Study Areas, Washington and Kane counties, Utah. No identified resources occur in these study areas. These study areas have a moderate energy resource potential for undiscovered oil and gas and a low resource potential for copper, gold, lead, silver, zinc, manganese, uranium, coal, and geothermal energy.
