Propagators of secondary trajectories in Reggeon field theory

Interacting Reggeons and Pomerons are studied in the context of Reggeon field theory by means of renormalization-group techniques. Both critical and subcritical Pomerons are considered. In the first case (critical Pomerons) an explicit representation for the Reggeon propagator is obtained, as a function of the momentum. The angular distribution for charge-exchange elastic scattering is then calculated, and the results are compared with experimental data from the reaction ..pi../sup -/p ..-->.. ..pi../sup 0/n. This comparison strongly indicates that, of the three infrared-stable fixed points for the renormalization-group equations, only one is physically acceptable to describe the rho exchange. In the second case (subcritical Pomerons) an explicit representation for the Reggeon propagator is obtained, as a function of the intercept.
