The papers presented in the five hadron scattering parallel sessions of this 1988 Rockport, Maine Intersections conference cover a wide range of topics and energy scales. However, I believe that many of the talks in these sessions connect together into a unified framework. The goal of this summary will be to subjectively discuss some of these connections. (AIP)
