Effects of bend configuration on dilute-phase pneumatic transport. [In calcining facility]
The effects of alternate bend configurations relative to radius bends on bend erosion performance, calcine attrition, pressure drop, and flow profiles in dilute-phase pneumatic solids transport were investigated. This report documents the pilot-plant tests and the data used to conclude that blinded lateral or tee configurations should be used instead of radius bends in pneumatic solids transport systems.
