Evaluation of coal resources in the eastern part of the Fort Peck Indian reservation, Montana

This report shows summaries of coal resource estimates of 15 potentially recoverable coal beds in the Paleocene Fort Union Formation that were calculated using GARNET software and data in the National Coal Resources Data System. Twenty-one maps show occurrence, structure, and overburden and thickness isopachs of each coal bed. Chemical analyses of coal samples obtained from 15 core holes drilled are provided.
