Tarrantoceras Stephenson and related ammonoid genera from Cenomanian (Upper Cretaceous) rocks in Texas and the western interior of the United States
Thirteen species (six new) of the closely related ammonites Tarrantoceras, Eucalycoceras, Pseudocalycoceras, Sumitomoceras, and Neocardioceras are described and illustrated. One or more of the genera occur in the Woodbine and Britton formations of the northeastern Texas; the Boquillas Limetone of southern Texas; the Chispa Summit Formation of Trans-Pecos Texas; the Boquillas Formation of the Texas-New Mexico-Mexico border area; the Colorado Formation. Mancos Shale, and Greenhorn Limestone of New Mexico; the Mancos and Tropic shales of Arizona and Utah; the Greenhorn Limestone and Benton Shale of Colorado; the Belle Fourche Shale, Greenhorn Formation, Frontier Formation, and Cody Shale of Wyoming; the Greenhorn Formation of South Dakota; and the Greenhorn Formation, Cody Shale, and Marias River Shale of Montana.
