The ESR spectra of Mn{sub 2}P{sub 2}S{sub 6} and several intercalation compounds of Mn{sub 2}P{sub 2}S{sub 6} are reported. The temperature dependence of the ESR line width in the case of pure Mn{sub 2}P{sub 2}S{sub 6} is consistent with antiferromagnetic ordering of Mn{sub 2}P{sub 2}S{sub 6} below 78 K. The behavior of the ESR spectrum for ammonia and pyridine intercalation compounds of Mn{sub 2}P{sub 2}S{sub 6} suggests that these materials also order antiferromagnetically but at much lower temperatures than pure Mn{sub 2}P{sub 2}S{sub 6} (11 and 36 K compared to 78 K). Cobaltocene-intercalated Mn{sub 2}P{sub 2}S{sub 6} appears to order ferromagnetically below 50 K.
