The authors believe that it is possible to obtain large contents of stable quasicrystals of this system by using an alloying method in the conventional casting manner. This paper deals with this research work. The experimental bulk materials were melted in an electric furnace at high temperature and slowly cooled at air atmosphere. The final alloy compositions of this research work, which were obtained by chemical analysis in atom percent, were reported before. The powders of these alloys were prepared by milling, and subsequently prepared as TEM powder samples by the conventional method. The TEM thin foils were prepared by twin-jet electrolytic polishing. A SIMENS D-5000 diffractometer was used for the x-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, and an H-800 transmission electron microscope for the examination of quasicrystals by selected area diffraction (SAD). These alloys were also observed on a scanning electron microscope (SEM).
