The principal alternatives to the Natural Gas Policy Act include early NGPA-like decontrol of gas from new wells; early full decontrol; phased decontrol of all wellhead prices by 1985; and continued control. ICF presents a forecast of domestic gas production resulting from current provisions of the NGPA and from the alternative policies. Compared with continued controls, all the other scenarios have a positive effect on supply.
