Corrosion control manual for aluminum solar-collector panels using glycol-water solutions for heat transfer/freeze protection
Types of general and localized corrosion of aluminum are described, and factors that initiate or accelerate corrosion are discussed. Recommendations are made for controlling corrosion of aluminum. Aluminum corrosion inhibitors are listed for use with ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, and instructions are given for preparing inhibited glycols. (LEW)
