The heat capacity temperature dependence was studied on a La/sub 1.8/Sr/sub 0.2/CuO/sub 4/ sample. The sample had a superconducting transition temperature of 42.5 K with a width ..delta..T of 2.5 K. The sample was prepared by evaporation of mixture of aqueous solutions of the nitrates of lanthanum, strontium, and copper, with subsequent heat treatment. A sample weighting 2.6977 g (M = 395.0975) was studied with an adiabatic calorimeter over the range 7-300 K at 107 points. The values of the thermodynamic functions of La/sub 1.8/Sr/sub 0.2/CuO/sub 4/ are shown.
