Energy savings and cost data from single-family retrofit projects throughout the country have been compiled in one data base. Shell measures and heating system retrofits can be compared for their relative effectiveness at saving energy. This project, the Buildings Energy-Use Compilation and Analysis (BECA) project, gives rare insight into the performance of various conservation measures. This paper summarizes the latest report from Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory researchers focusing on retrofits of single-family homes.
