Self-similar solutions are derived for a subsonic compression and expansion of dense Z-pinches taking into account all essential dissipative processes for a magnetized and nonmagnetized plasma. The solutions reveal the radial profiles of MHD variables in the pinch dynamics. The minimum radius of a stationary pinch is obtained.
