President Clinton's proposed energy tax should survive attempts by special interest groups to scrap or change it, according to a key Democratic senator who thinks some form of the plan will be approved. This article presents the viewpoints on Clinton's BTU tax from the following organization and/or individuals: Associated General Contractors, Treasury Secretary Lloy Bentsen, National Association of Manufacturers, Georgia Power, Edison Electric Institute, and the Sierra Club.
