A review is presented of the effects of pollution on freshwater fish. This review organizes research results of the effects of metals, of salinity, of oxygen levels, of pesticides, of herbicides, of industrial organic pollutants, of polychlorinated biphenyls and of domestic pollutants. Also included in this review is an overview of methods used to assess fish toxicology. 375 references.
