Interstate gas pipeline transportation on behalf of other interstate pipelines

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has promulgated a final rule which enables interstate pipelines holding blanket certificates to transport natural gas for delivery to other interstate pipelines without prior FERC approval of each individual transaction, in accordance with the Natural Gas Policy Act of 1978. The rule is effective November 21, 1979.
