/sup 90/Zr photoneutron reaction yield ratios
The method of direct comparison of the gamma ray counting rates for the product lines was used to measure the isomeric yield ratios Y/sub m//Y/sub g/ in the reaction /sup 90/Zr (..gamma.., n)/sub 89m/ gZr and Y/sub ..gamma..,n//Y/sub ..gamma.., 2n/ in the reactions /sup 90/Zr (..gamma.., n) /sup 89/Zr and /sup 90/Zr (..gamma.., 2n) /sup 88/Zr. The method was tested by measuring Y/sub ..gamma..,n/Y/sub ..gamma..,2n/ also for /sup 63/Cu (..gamma.., n) /sup 62/Cu and /sup 63/Cu (..gamma.., 2n) /sup 61/Cu, where the measurements were compared with values obtained by direct neutron scattering. Yield ratios are presented for the reactions on /sup 90/Zr as a function of maximum energies. Photoelectric peaks for the gamma lines 511 keV from /sup 89/Zr and 393 keV from /sup 88/Zr were used to separate the yields from the (..gamma.., n) and (..gamma.., 2n) reactions clearly.
