Statistical treatment of EPR data: The spectrum of IO/sub 2/ in KIO/sub 2/F/sub 2/ single crystals

The EPR spctrum in g-irradiated KIO/sub 2/F/sub 2/ crystals has been reinvestigated. Originally thought to be due to IO/sub 2/F/sup -/, the spectrum has been reanalyzed and reassigned to the radical IO/sub 2/. Improved principal values for the g factor and the /sup 127/I hyperfine and quadrupole interactions were obtained by the statistical technique of minimizing x/sup 2/ for measurements made with H/sub 0/ parallel to the crystal axes.
