Fabrication of ThO pellets for EBR-II irradiation testing and fabrication of UO/sub 2/ and PuO/sub 2/-UO/sub 2/ pellets for United Kingdom Prototype Fast Reactor (PFR) irradiation testing is discussed. Effect of process parameters on density and microstructure of pellets fabricated by the cold press and sinter technique is reviewed.
