Analysis of some nonleptonic decays of [ital B] mesons in the heavy quark effective theory

Some of the nonleptonic decays of [ital B] mesons are calculated by applying the model-independent QCD sum rule results of the universal form factors in heavy quark symmetry and the factorization hypothesis. The decay constant of the [ital D][sub [ital s]] meson is extracted to be [ital f][sub [ital D][ital s]]=(281[plus minus]56) MeV. A test of the factorization hypothesis and some ratios of the branching fractions are discussed.
