Weak decays of heavy mesons and mixing of light mesons

A method for determining the quark-antiquark composition of light isoscalar mesons is proposed. The method is based on measuring the yield of these hadrons in certain weak-decay modes of heavy D and B mesons. In particular, the strange-quark content in the eta' meson can be determined independently by this method.
