The osmotic coefficients of aqueous Dy(NO/sub 3/)/sub 3/, Ho(NO/sub 3/)/sub 3/, and Lu(NO/sub 3/)/sub 3/ have been measured from 0.18 to 6.5 to 7.2 mol kg/sup -1/ at 25/sup 0/C with the isoplestic method. The resulting osmotic coefficients were fitted to least-squares equations, which were used to calculate water activities and mean molal activity coefficients. These data are compared to activity data for other rare-earth nitrate solutions. The lower concentration results were also fitted to Pitzer's equation. 3 figures, 5 tables.
