Instrumentation in Elementary Particle Physics: The VII ICFA School. Proceedings

These proceedings represent papers presented at the VII ICFA School on Instrumentation in Elementary Particle Physics held in Mexico in July 1997. The topics covered the state of the art of detectors used in high energy physics research. There were review talks on neutrino detectors, photon counters and cryogenic detectors for dark matter. There were lectures on high speed data acquisition , gaseous wire detectors and other detector systems for future experiments. There were also laboratory sessions on silicon detectors, position sensitive detectors, amplifiers and electronics, avalanche counters, etc. All of these appear as papers in the Proceedings. There are 32 papers altogether and out of these, 7 have been abstracted for the Energy Science and Technology database.(AIP)
