This regulatory guide provides assistance to applicants and licensees in preparing applications for new licenses, license amendments, and license renewals that authorize possession of byproduct material (i.e., reactor-produced radionuclides) in a teletherapy unit for the treatment of human beings. This type of license is provided for in Section 35.13 of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) regulations in Title 10, Chapter I, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 35, ''Human Uses of Byproduct Material.''
