The U. S. army's industrial hygiene sampling guide
The U.S. Army Environmental Hygiene Agency (USAEHA) has developed an industrial hygiene (IH) sampling guide for collecting over 100 types of air and bulk samples. The guide includes the minimum, maximum, and optimum air volumes, recommended sampling rates, and sampling methods for air samples. For bulk samples, the types of containers and amounts of sample required are noted. This sampling guide is used by all Army industrial hygienists and industrial hygiene technicians involved in IH sampling. It provides a summary of sampling procedures and provides a range of flow rates and volumes which enables the field personnel to sample using methods which are compatible with the Agency's state-of-the-art laboratory procedures.
