Quark dynamics in the. pi. NN system

A general ..pi..NN theory is discussed which has been constructed according to the present understanding of the quark dynamics. The mechanisms are discussed qualitatively which should be considered in defining the ..pi..NN interactions. A model hamiltonian is given. An interpretation is adopted that the confined q/sup 6/ states are the dibaryon (one-body) states which could be excited at a very short distance during the NN or ..pi..d scattering. 11 refs., 7 figs.
