This paper describes the design evolution and offshore operations that led to the rapid installation of a large North Sea jacket over a subsea template. The basic design philosophy, the supporting engineering studies, the preinstallation preparations and the actual jacket installation are addressed. Conclusions drawn from these experiences are offered for the benefit of similar operations.
