Computer-aided engineering in NESD
Technical Report

OSTI ID:6367947
To meet the challenge of developing increasingly complex electronic systems in the face of tighter budget constraints and manpower shortages, NESD, in conjunction with other divisions and the EE Department, has started to develop a computer-aided engineering (CAE) capability. Simply stated, the goal of CAE is to help engineers improve their productivity by using computers. The use of computers in engineering is certainly not new, but the widespread availability of computer resources will allow engineers to utilize computers for all facets of their work, including modeling and analyses, design, documentation, project management, software development, and communications.
