Splenic abscess: comparison of four imaging methods. [Scintiscanning; CAT Scanning; arteriography; ultrasonography]

Journal Article · · Am. J. Roentgenol.; (United States)

The diagnostic efficacy of scintiscanning (/sup 99m/Tc-sulfur colloid and /sup 67/Ga citrate), ultrasonography, arteriography, and computed tomography are compared for imaging of a splenic abscess. It was concluded that ultrasmography, the least invasive and least expensive technique, alone would have sufficed in making the diagnosis. (ERB)
