Portable V. G. M. survey instrument: Counting rate on active particles in relationship to disintegration rate
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:6353909
Portable V.G.M. survey instruments are being currently used to locate radioactive materials and to evaluate the activity of discrete particles discharged from the stacks in the 200 Areas. As far as is known, the ratio of direct counting rate on a particle to the disintegrations per minute occurring within the particle has not been determined. An investigation has been made in an attempt to evaluate this ratio. 3 tabs.
