Comment on ''New exact solutions of the classical sine-Gordon equation in 2+1 and 3+1 dimensions''

A critical discussion of Leibbrandt's recent solutions of the sine-Gordon equation in higher dimensions is given. Also it is shown that his transformation is not a Baecklund transformation.
