Amorphous alloys of Gd/sub 65/Co /sub 35-x/ Fe /sub x/ , (Gd /sub 0.65/ Co /sub 0.35/ ) /sub 100-x/ Si /sub x/ are prepared by the splat cooling technique. The effect of Fe(Si) substitution on the magnetic ordering temperature of amorphous Gd/sub 65/Co/sub 35/ is studied.
