This patent describes a turbine engine. It comprises: a rotatable turbine wheel; a rotary compressor coupled to the turbine wheel; an annular combustor for receiving compressed air from the compressor and fuel from a fuel source and burning the same to provide gases of combustion to drive the turbine wheel; angularly spaced injector assemblies mounted on the outer wall and extending through the inner wall into the combustion zone; and a venturi surface.
