Preequilibrium emission and target-projectile-like correlations for /sup 20/Ne+/sup 60/Ni at E(/sup 20/Ne) = 740 MeV

Inclusive ..gamma.. rays at 90/sup 0/ and 125/sup 0/ and particle spectra (for Z = 1 to 6) at 14/sup 0/ and (Z = 1 to 4) at 120/sup 0/ and 150/sup 0/ were measured. Particle-..gamma..-ray coincidences were obtained. Cross sections for heavy residuals were extracted from in-beam ..gamma..-ray and radioactivity measurements. Target-projectile-like correlations were well reproduced using a geometrical abrasion model plus preequilibrium and equilibrium decay.
