Gauge theory with Nambu--Jona-Lasinio dynamics

We construct a model of gauge fields and fermions which we argue can be fine-tuned to give rise to dynamics similar to that of the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model. The only major dynamical assumption made is that the symmetry-breaking transition is second order. The application of this model to electroweak symmetry breaking is briefly discussed.
